Immigration Law & Regulatory Compliance Breakfast
November 7, 2012 at the Westin Hotel in Denver, CO
Western Energy Alliance is hosting a panel on Immigration Law and Regulatory Compliance on Wednesday, November 7th at the Westin Hotel. Please join us for breakfast and an informative discussion with Kenneth Stern of Stern & Curray, Kathleen Schroder of Bjork Lindley Little PC, and Eric Waeckerlin of Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP.
- Kathleen Schroder will provide an overview of federal and state laws and regulations regarding oil and natural gas development, including a survey of oil and gas conservation, environmental quality and royalty requirements, to answer the who, what, when and where of regulatory compliance. She’ll provide practical advice on how to avoid regulatory pitfalls and ensure operations can proceed in a timely manner.
- Eric Waeckerlin will discuss Western Energy Alliance’s petitions to EPA and the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals on the recently enacted regulations on hydraulic fracturing air emissions. He’ll discuss the prospects for success in court, and what companies need to do now to comply with the new rules, even as the litigation winds its way through the legal system.
- Kenneth Stern will address what every company needs to know about immigration rules and regulations. He’ll discuss how to strategically plan for immigration visas, the timing requirements for business visitor status versus work visas, and how to make the best use of human capital to address business needs.
